Head of Technology

Lady Lumley’s Academy are looking to appoint a Head of Department for Technology to join our academy in September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis. As part of our middle leadership team, you will play an important role in transforming our academy. We are looking to appoint a skilled teacher, who has experience of teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5, and a developing leader who will drive improvement across the disciplines of Food and Design Technology. The teaching responsibility will be in Food. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of raising both attainment and standards of teaching and learning within Food and Design Technology. Curriculum

We currently offer a Key Stage 3 experience that prepares students for progression to GCSE, develops essential life skills as well as instilling a lifelong love of learning. We follow the AQA specification for both GCSE Design and Technology and Food Preparation and Nutrition. At Post-16 we follow the Level 3 Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition specification from Eduqas.
