Are you ready to lead with purpose, compassion and vision? Mangotsfield School is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team, taking strategic leadership of safeguarding and awards so every student is protected, supported and celebrated.
About the Role
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and lived experience of students and staff at Mangotsfield School. Working as part of a proactive and innovative Senior Leadership Team, you will lead safeguarding, staff wellbeing and whole‑school celebration, along with working collaboratively with colleagues across the trust to ensure our shared ambition is realised.
You will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead , taking overall responsibility for safeguarding and child protection so that every young person is protected, supported and able to thrive. Alongside this you will provide strategic leadership across areas that sit at the heart of our Respect value; championing staff wellbeing and overseeing the school’s awards and celebration strategy to strengthen belonging, pride and connection across our community.
This is a role for a leader who can inspire confidence, build strong relationships, and drive high standards while modelling the values that sit at the heart of Mangotsfield School.

You will be someone who:
Has proven experience in safeguarding and child protection, with the expertise and up‑to‑date legislative knowledge required to act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead

Brings an ability to identify challenges, generate solutions and drive sustained improvement
Has the motivation and interpersonal skill to inspire staff, students and families building trust and confidence through strong relationships
Demonstrates a commitment to the Trust’s vision and values, modelling integrity, accountability and high expectations
Champions inclusion and equity, ensuring that every child is valued, respected and supported regardless of background, characteristics or need and that our culture reflects the values of Respect at every level
