About the role

Water Mill Primary School is a warm and friendly one form entry local authority primary school with a strong sense of community. We are situated on the borders of Selly Oak and Harborne, Birmingham. The successful candidate will also demonstrate creativity and originality in both teaching and leadership, bringing science to life through innovative and engaging approaches. As a Class Teacher at Water Mill Primary School, you will: Be responsible for the learning, progress and well-being of pupils in your class, ensuring equality of opportunity for all. Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and high prior attainment. Demonstrate strong knowledge of curriculum requirements, assessment strategies and statutory expectations. Create a safe, purposeful and stimulating classroom environment rooted in mutual respect. Use effective assessment to set challenging objectives, monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community. Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our ethos, policies and high standards of conduct. Actively promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people. Be responsible for the learning, progress and well-being of pupils in your class, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
