About the role

The children, staff and Trust of St Laurence Catholic Primary are looking for an excellent Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant to join our team. You be supporting teaching and learning in our Enhanced Resourced Base. You will work with pupils with significant SEMH needs resulting in challenging behaviour. You will work with our supportive team to make learning accessible, irresistible, inclusive and effective. You will need to: Have experience of working or volunteering with children, working with pupils with SEND, specifically SEMH needs and heightened behaviour; Display patience, empathy and passion for supporting children with additional needs; Have high expectations of pupil outcomes and progress; Develop good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues; Be flexible, collaborative and supportive; Be educated to GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths We can offer: The opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated specialist SEND Teacher; Excellent OLOW Trust support and professional development opportunities; An inclusive, welcoming Catholic ethos; Supportive training; An opportunity to shine; Excellent resources, space and facilities.
