We currently have an exciting number of opportunities for full-time or part time Cover Supervisors to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) in Wythenshawe We have two permanent posts available working either full-time (35 hours per week) or part time (14-28 hours/2-4 days per week), term time only plus 10 days including INSET days. Please clearly indicate your preferred working hours in the Pre-assessment Form. This is a Grade 5 post with a full-time equivalent salary of £29,064. The pro-rata salary for this role is £25,640 per annum. For part-time working, the pro-rata salaries are £10,256 for 14 hours, £15,384 for 21 hours, and £20,512 for 28 hours. Main purpose of the job: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning for our students by delivering pre-planned lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a classroom environment and contribute to the wider life of our school. Key responsibilities will include: Delivering engaging, pre-set lessons to whole classes Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment Assessing student progress during cover lessons and updating records as required Supporting students across a range of subjects and activities Supporting curriculum areas and pastoral teams when not covering lesson Providing additional support to curriculum and pastoral teams We’re looking for: We are looking for individuals who are: Confident working with young people and managing classroom settings Passionate about education and committed to student success Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic team players Essential qualifications & experience: Good literacy and numeracy skills (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) Experience working with or caring for children or young people Understanding of the national curriculum and basic learning strategies A calm, adaptable and positive approach to managing student behaviour
