About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Teacher of Geography to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) This is a permanent, full-time role starting from September 2026, attracting a salary on the Teachers’ Main/Upper Pay Scale. We’re looking for: An enthusiastic, committed and reflective classroom practitioner who: Has a passion for teaching Geography and securing excellent outcomes for all students Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm Is committed to inclusive practice and raising achievement across all ability ranges Works collaboratively with colleagues to develop high-quality teaching and learning Has high expectations of student behaviour, engagement and achievement Is keen to contribute to the wider life of the school and the ongoing development of the curriculum Please note that Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will not be considered for this role. Main purpose of the job: The post holder will fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. They will meet the Teachers’ Standards appropriate to their career stage and exercise professional judgement in carrying out their duties collaboratively. The key purpose of the role is to secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Geography, ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, a Senior Leader, and ultimately the Headteacher. Key responsibilities: Promote the academic progress, well being and positive behaviour of all students Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across Geography Contribute to the development of an ambitious Geography curriculum Assess, monitor and report on student progress, implementing timely interventions Work collaboratively within the Geography team to support the school’s vision Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners How to apply:
