We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Teacher of Hair and Beauty to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) This is a permanent, full-time position on Teaching terms MPS–UPS plus TLR 2.1 allowance of £3,527, starting September 2026. We’re looking for: You will be a qualified teacher with successful experience delivering Hair & Beauty for City & Guilds pathway and teaching within Key Stage 4. You will have excellent subject knowledge in Hair and Beauty and a clear understanding of the City & Guilds qualification and current curriculum developments. You will be a confident and effective communicator with the ability to build strong professional relationships. With a passion for education, you will be committed to raising achievement and inspiring a love of learning in all students. Main purpose of the job: In addition to the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, the Lead Teacher of Hair and Beauty will play a key role in raising standards of teaching, learning and student achievement across the curriculum. Working closely with the Curriculum Leader, you will: Support the development and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies Lead on intervention strategies to improve attainment and progress Monitor curriculum delivery, planning and student outcomes Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Ensure high standards of assessment, recording and reporting You will also deputise for the Curriculum Leader where required and take responsibility for agreed areas of departmental leadership.
