An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and inspirational leader to work closely with the Headteacher and Governors of our thriving and successful school. The Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and suitably qualified SENCO to lead within our Resource Provision. This role carries strategic and operational responsibility for the leadership, development and impact of the school’s Specialist Resource Provision. This is a key role for a skilled professional who is passionate about inclusive practice and committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for pupils with high levels of need. Able to demonstrate a proven track record in raising standards for pupils with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs? Experienced in leading and developing staff teams to deliver high-quality provision? Collaborative, reflective, open to innovation and committed to continuous professional learning? We are seeking a SENCO who: Has significant knowledge and experience of working with children with EHCPs Has specialist expertise or strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Communication & Interaction needs Can lead, manage and further develop the school’s Specialist Resource Provision, including curriculum, staffing, assessment and impact Is confident in working with a range of external professionals including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists Will work in close partnership with the current SENCO, providing effective shared leadership across SEND and inclusion Is willing to contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team The successful candidate will inspire staff, pupils and the wider community and will play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive practice across the school.
