PE Leader and Teacher of Boys' PE

This is an exciting opportunity to join the largest school in Cambridgeshire, and one with outstanding facilities for PE and Sports. These include a heated indoor swimming pool, a well-equipped gymnasium and sports hall, astro turf tennis courts, hard playing areas for netball, a modern fitness suite, grass pitches and an oversized ‘3G’ all-weather playing surface. The adjacent parkland is also used for a range of activities, including cross-country running, orienteering and problem solving /team challenges. PE is popular at both KS4 and 5 and we offer GCSE PE and OCR CNAT Sports Studies at KS4 and at A-Level we offer A-Level PE and Level 3 CTEC Sport. The successful candidate will join a large, collaborative and strong team of teachers and support staff. The successful candidate will ideally have a specialism in rugby, but this is not compulsory. They must also be willing to provide a rich and broad extra-curricular programme for our students through leading weekly training and fixtures in a range of sports. The main responsibilities of this role will be leading the curriculum and administration for the GCSE PE course, so experience of teaching and/or leading GCSE PE is advantageous.
