About the role

Our Lady & St Paul’s Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and approachable Pastoral Officer to join our school family. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our children’s wellbeing, attendance and personal development within our nurturing Catholic community.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted pastoral support to help pupils develop positive behaviour, confidence and a love of learning.

Monitor attendance and punctuality, working closely with families and the Local Authority to promote excellent attendance.

Develop supportive action plans to help children overcome barriers to learning.

Build strong, positive relationships with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure every child feels supported and valued.

Support pupils with transition and reintegration following absence.

Maintain accurate records and prepare relevant correspondence and reports.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, organised and committed to safeguarding, with a genuine desire to help every child thrive in line with our Catholic values.
