About the role

FOOD TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN  32 hours per week, Required ASAP Grade C £24,796 - £25,185 fte depending on experience.  Actual Pro rata salary £17,931.65 - £18,212.97 We are looking to appoint a Food Technology Technician with a love of food and cooking to work in our busy and successful Technology Department to provide practical support to the department and to oversee ordering and inventories within the food department.  The main duties associated with this role are as follows: To support the department with ordering and general day to day organisation. To prepare and clean the two food rooms; to include setting up of equipment and/or ingredients where necessary. To maintain inventories, stock and filing systems. To assist with the purchase of essential supplies for the department, i.e shopping for perishable foodstuffs and ingredients for those students listed as ‘pupil premium’. To provide practical support for staff and students on occasion.  This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly organised applicant with a flexible approach and strong communication skills to contribute to this rewarding and dynamic educational environment.
