WALTHAM GATEWAY ACADEMY 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT 32.5 HOURS PER WEEK TERM TIME ONLY + INSET DAYS (195 DAYS) LGAT 7 - £26,948.00 - pro rata ACTUAL SALARY - £20,237.95 Waltham Gateway Academy opened in September 2025 for 34 pupils and from September 2026, there will be approximately 65 pupils> The school will eventually provide for up to 210 mainstream pupils, from Reception to Year 6. The Academy also includes an RSP, which will cater for up to 12 children from across North East Lincolnshire who have identified Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Teaching assistants will work closely with the class teacher, alongside the SENDCO, in collaborating with staff across the Academy to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum is provided for our children, including those accessing the RSP. We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant who demonstrates a strong desire to ensure all children are able to develop their skills and confidence, using adaptive, personalised teaching strategies. This role will be as a 1:1 support for a young child with specific medical needs, associated with seizures, though this role may also incorporate some aspects of the role of a general teaching assistant. Some experience of working with children with medical needs is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. We would invite you to contact the Principal for further details.
