Our vision at Southwood Primary School is to create ‘a community inspiring futures, nurturing growth, enabling every child to succeed’. We are looking for the right individual to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Inclusion team, to work as a teaching assistant, with a specific responsibility for working with our high-needs pupils both within our mainstream classrooms and our additional needs provision: ‘The Den’.
We are looking for someone:
who has GCSE English and Maths (or Level 2 equivalent) and is
willing to undertake further training (Level 3 apprenticeship in
supporting teaching and learning);
who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a
proactive member of our Inclusion Team;
who has a passion for
inclusion and will motivate and inspire all our children to achieve their
potential;
who has the ability to understand and nurture the individual needs
of our pupils, families and the whole school community;
who has experience of working with children with a range of
multiple or complex needs, in a school or similar setting;
who, with support from our SENCO, will analyse children’s
learning, identify next steps and interact positively to ensure good
