About the role

Lead Practitioner and KS4 Leader - Science Leadership Points 4-7 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able Lead Practitioner and KS4 Leader to join our Science department on a permanent basis. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively across the academy and within the Science Department to develop colleagues in delivering outstanding lessons. The successful candidate will work alongside the Trust Director of Science, Subject Leader and 2nd in Science to support the development of the Science curriculum to raise academic achievement and ensure all pupils make outstanding progress. The successful candidate will be: Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within Science to achieve their highest potential across Key Stage 4. An outstanding Lead Practitioner to inspire, guide and advise on best practice in the Academy. To work in a teaching and learning team and in conjunction with the Deputy Headteacher to support whole school improvement. A Lead Teacher of Science who can promote and enhance the quality of Science teaching and learning across all key stages. An excellent practitioner to work collaboratively to achieve ‘outstanding’ teaching and learning across the whole school. You will be: An outstanding practitioner. Inspirational, dedicated and motivated. Passionate about Science and the education of young people. Committed to Crofton Academy values. Creative, enthusiastic and engaging and able to challenge pupils. Committed to achieving the best for every pupil and dedicated to be the best you can be. Supportive of the Academy’s ethos and values at all times both within the Academy and the wider community. Committed to inspiring pupils and staff in the development of teaching initiatives and strategies, promoting Science as a subject. Able to provide an active contribution to the wider part of Academy life.
