Putteridge Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Cook to join our highly effective team. The post is term-time only plus 5 days. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to be part of a highly motivated exceptional team who strive to establish the highest standards. Your core role will be to provide fresh, nutritious food for our children. A Food Hygiene certificate in food safety or similar qualification would be preferable but this could be completed in house. Knowledge of School Food standards is desirable as well as an understanding of environmental health. It is the Cook’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all the relevant legislation relating to the school kitchen. The role is 27.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 1.30pm. You will need to Have recent and relevant experience of working within a kitchen environment, preferably within a school setting. Be a committed team player who enjoys working collaboratively. Be friendly, caring and hardworking. Be able to use own initiative to react to ever changing situations. We are a vibrant, 3 form entry primary school on the edge of Luton, bordering Hertfordshire.
