We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Food Technology to join our fantastic team at MEA Central This is apermanent, full-time role starting September 2026. The salary for this post is MPS/UPS on the Teachers Pay Scale. We’re looking for: MEA Central is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicatedTeacher of Food Technologyto join our thriving Design & Technology faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about delivering high‑quality Food Technology education and making a positive impact on students’ learning. Main purpose of the job: The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well‑planned Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop practical skills, creativity and a strong understanding of nutrition, food science and preparation. You will play an active role in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour within the department. The Ideal Candidate Will: Be a qualified teacher (or ECT) with a specialism inFood Technology Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, hands‑on learning Deliver consistently high‑quality teaching that inspires and motivates students Have high expectations of students’ progress, achievement and behaviour Be committed to inclusive practice and raising outcomes for all learners Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team All school staff are expected to share the Trust’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
