We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to play a significant part within a dedicated and supportive team. You will be working in and making significant contributions to a team that is committed to continually raising standards. We are a large faculty with a range of subject specialists and two full time technicians to support practical learning in the classroom. Why Science at Northampton Academy? Get to work with colleagues with a real depth and breadth of experience Fully resourced KS3/KS4 Curriculum Over-subscribed 6th form classes in all 3 Sciences Efficient department in terms of ordering scientific equipment and planning lessons with shared teachers Well-equipped with IT to allow for effective teaching and class demos (e.g. Using our school surfaces to project a demo to the class) Opportunity to run paid intervention across all key stages Access to subject specialists and many other schools across UL to help with PD and shared resources Large social office space for PPA/break times with lots of natural daylight Regular departmental masterclasses that focus on T&L in Science and improving pedagogy Need to have fun in science… - Work as a team and socialise.
