Perryfields Academy · Oldbury, West Midlands
Perryfields Academy is a vibrant and inclusive school where we are very proud of the ongoing successes and achievements of our students. Our vision is one where students aim to achieve the very highest standard they can, and everyone is supported to maximise their potential. The thread that runs through everything we do at the school is our desire and commitment to ensure that there are opportunities for everyone, whilst supporting them to achieve excellence. We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and committed Teacher to join our team. It is payable on the Teachers’ Pay Range according to qualifications and experience, and we welcome applications from both ECTs and more experienced Teachers. The Design Technology department is committed to delivering a curriculum that’s accessible to all and which provides the broadest possible range of opportunities for students. We want our students to become self-motivated and confident learners, who can work independently and as part of a team, whilst developing skills for life. With this in mind, we aim to ensure that learners develop technical and practical competencies as well as the wider skills that are valued by employers. Our main priority is for students to be problem solvers who are not afraid of making mistakes. We hope our students will become responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society. This is an exciting and challenging time to be teaching DT at Perryfields Academy. We’re constantly adapting teaching and learning strategies to keep pace with ever-shifting changes to both the curriculum and exam board specifications. If you’re passionate about improving life-chances for students and if you’d like to be a part of our dynamic DT team, we want to hear from you.
