At St Anne's Church Academy, we are a busy, friendly academy, with lots of lovely learning taking place and much to celebrate. We are looking for a friendly, empathetic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor for our small primary school. The role will include supervising and engaging with the children during playtime, monitoring and encouraging good eating habits, rewarding good behaviour and social skills and building relationships. This is an ideal opportunity to begin a career in education!
As part of this role, you will:
Support children in their physical play by providing encouragement, support, advice and guidance.
Help develop positive behaviours, working collaboratively with the existing lunchtime team and support staff.
Listen to the children and encourage their play, but also has the necessary skills to maintain discipline in the playground.
Promote student well-being by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem, help children to practice good standards of personal health and hygiene.
You will be someone who:
Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students.
Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
Understanding of the developmental needs of children.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
First Aid qualification desirable but not essential.
Experience of working with children desirable but not essential.
