Assistant Headteacher (Science) - Chemistry Specialism About the Role As Assistant Headteacher (Science), you will be a pivotal leader within UCS Bolton and the wider Trust. You will lead the science curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a specialism in Chemistry, inspiring pupils and staff alike to achieve excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and continuously developing a broad, balanced, and engaging science curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment through evidence-based approaches Managing the provision for A-Level Science resits, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed Supporting the school’s culture of professionalism, high expectations, excellent behaviour, and safeguarding Acting as a mentor for early career teachers and contributing to whole-school leadership and strategy Playing a key role in implementing the Trust’s values-led approach and strategic objectives This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the learning journey of pupils aged 11 to 19 within a forward-thinking and supportive leadership team.
