As Orsett Heath Academy continues to grow, we are looking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and professional Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative service within a busy school environment. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will provide high-level personal assistant, administrative, clerking and personnel support, ensuring the effective day‑to‑day operation of the school leadership function. The role is central to the smooth running of the school and requires excellent organisational skills, discretion and the ability to manage competing priorities. Some flexibility with working hours may be required on occasion with this role. We are looking for: -Successful experience of administrative work in a busy school environment -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Strong IT skills, including word processing, databases and general office systems -Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail -The ability to work independently and as part of a team -A professional, calm and flexible approach to work -A clear understanding of confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding and health & safety Why Orsett Heath Academy? Orsett Heath is a relatively new thriving mixed 11-16 comprehensive school. As a new school, we opened our doors to welcome our first pupils in 2020. Since then, the school has proved popular with parents and pupils, and we are oversubscribed in all four current year groups. In the summer of 2024, we moved into our new £37m school building adjacent to our previous purpose-built accommodation. When full, the new building will have 1200 pupils and be amongst the largest in Thurrock.
