About this Role We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team at Trenode Church of England Primary Academy. This position is for 2 days a week (Monday and Tuesday) working in a mixed Year 3/4/5/6 class with a lunchtime supervisor role for 30 minutes for the 2 days. The successful candidate will be confident working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting high‑quality learning in a range of classrooms. You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, helping to remove barriers and promote positive progress. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in: Supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom. Providing targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) as required. Using ‘Read Write Inc’ and other systematic phonics programmes to help children learn to read, write, and spell fluently and confidently. Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team to create a calm, positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Contract type: Fixed Term Contract terms: Part time Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (term time only) Paid weeks: 43.699 per year (includes holiday entitlement) Working Days: Monday - Tuesday Total Hours per week: 12.5 Payscale: Bridge 2 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) salary: £25948.96 Equivalent hourly rate: £13.45 Actual Salary: About You - We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with SEN pupils, Is flexible and adaptable Is enthusiastic, caring and passionate in supporting children during their learning.
