Location: Bromley / Kent (hybrid working, with travel across Trust schools) Salary: BR14 (£50,867 - £54,584 FTE) Hours: 21.6 hours (3 days) 52 weeks per year, with some flexibility on working pattern Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier by agreement) Closing Date: Wednesday 13th May 2026 Interviews: Week commencing Monday 18th May 2026 About Us Mosaic Schools Learning Trust is a growing Multi-Academy Trust of 10 primary schools across Bromley and Kent, united by a shared commitment to delivering excellent education for every child. Formed following the merger of two established Trusts, we are entering an exciting phase of development, with a strong focus on collaboration, financial sustainability and continuous improvement. About the Role We are seeking an ambitious and capable Head of Finance to play a key role in leading the Trust’s financial operations, supporting a Trust of 10 primary schools with a combined budget of c.£30m+ Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance and operational finance across the Trust. You will ensure strong financial control and provide high-quality insight to support senior leaders and Trustees. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to step into, or further develop within, a senior leadership role with exposure to executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Trust’s finance function, ensuring high standards of financial management and compliance Oversee budget setting, forecasting and in-year financial monitoring across all schools Provide clear, insightful financial reporting to the CFO, senior leaders and Trustees Ensure robust financial controls, systems and processes are in place and operating effectively Support and deputise for the CFO where required Line manage and develop a high-performing finance team Drive consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement across financial processes About You We are looking for a motivated and proactive finance professional with: A recognised financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or significant relevant experience Experience in financial management, ideally within education or the public sector Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly Experience of leading or supporting a finance team A collaborative, solutions-focused approach This role would suit a strong Finance Manager or aspiring Head of Finance looking to step into a broader leadership role within a supportive and growing Trust.
