About the role

Thomas Tallis School is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on roll, including around 800 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and efficient HR Officer to join our busy and supportive HR team. This is a key role within the school, providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the full range of HR functions, ensuring that staff are well supported and that all processes are compliant, accurate and delivered to a high standard. Working under the direction of the HR Manager, the successful candidate will play a central role in recruitment and onboarding, safer recruitment compliance, employee records management, and day-to-day HR administration. The role also includes supporting staff induction, maintaining the Single Central Record, coordinating HR processes such as probation and appraisal administration, and contributing to payroll and absence management processes. Your main purpose will be to deliver an efficient, confidential and high-quality HR service, ensuring that all staff records and processes meet statutory and safeguarding requirements, while contributing to a positive and professional working environment.
