Teacher of Geography 0.6 (maternity cover)

As the successful

candidate, you would be joining a very close-knit, highly supportive family. We

are looking for a teacher who is an outstanding communicator and has the

ability to meet deadlines/manage time and holds relevant experience of teaching

Geography in a comprehensive school (as a teacher or student teacher).

Role Details: • To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may

require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of

the Head Teacher. • To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum

knowledge, can teach Good or better lessons, actively engage in professional

development and ensure pupils make good progress. • To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of classes and the

safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities. • To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its

philosophy of education and ethos as a Christian school. • Overall the job holder must make the education of their pupils their first

concern, and is accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in

work and conduct. S/he must act with honesty and integrity; have strong

subject knowledge, keep his/her knowledge and skills as a teacher up-to-date

and be self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work

with parents in the best interests of pupils.
