Teaching Assistant for KS2 SEMH Specialist Resource Base - Magdalen 32.5 hours per week Term time plus 1 week Salary - Scale D Point 6 - Point 7 actual salary £19,547 - £19,859 (Full time annual salary £25,989 - £26,403) Permanent Interview date: 21st May 2026 This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing Specialist Resource Base team. We have an eight place SRB unit, for pupils on the SEMH needs. Our goal is to support them to be able to take part in mainstream classes as much as possible. By working in the base, you will get the chance to develop your skills and knowledge for supporting pupils with SEMH, through the skill of the team in school, and with the wider SRB teams for Norfolk County Council and our specialist partners. We need a passionate and determined TA to work with our wonderful pupils in our SEMH SRB. You will work with them in small groups in the base. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the pupils EHCP targets are met, and their social and emotional skills developed. You will: Be a kind, caring person, who knows that children learn best in an inclusive environment. Have experience or interest in working with children with different learning needs, particularly experience of working with children with SEMH. Have experience of or ideas about how to use creative and innovative strategies to engage children in school life and learning. Have patience and resilience when dealing with children who demonstrate challenging behaviours. Have excellent communication skills. Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
