Job Title: Deputy Head - Safeguarding, Behaviour & Pastoral Lead Braintcroft Primary Academy is a vibrant, ambitious and proudly diverse 3‑form entry school in the heart of Brent. We are seeking an exceptional school leader to join our senior team with strategic responsibility for safeguarding, behaviour and pastoral care. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our academy, shaping the culture, ethos and systems that ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn. About the Role As Deputy Headteacher, you will: Lead on safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of vigilance, compliance and professional practice. Oversee the behaviour and relationships strategy, rooted in restorative practice, trauma‑informed approaches and high expectations for all. Drive a Trust‑aligned pastoral vision that supports wellbeing, inclusion and strong family partnerships. Work closely with the Headteacher to deliver the strategic priorities and ensure a culture where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Lead and develop staff, modelling the values‑driven, people‑first culture that defines E‑ACT. Pay range: L10 - L14 £74,749 - £81,120 ( Inner London ) Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – recognised teaching certification. Proven leadership experience – ideally as an Assistant Head, Phase Leader, or equivalent. Strong academic background – degree-level education with evidence of continuous professional development. Safeguarding and child protection training – up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements
