Teacher of English Salary: UPS/MPS Contract: Permeant, Full Time Start date: September 2026 About the Role Armthorpe Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join our committed and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the needs of all learners Assess, monitor and report on student progress Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning Support students’ academic and personal development as a Form Tutor Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities Has experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (or the potential to do so) Is committed to high expectations and student success Works effectively as part of a team Demonstrates resilience, professionalism, and a positive attitude Why Join Us?
