About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and compassionate Attendance & Welfare Administrative Officer to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a key role within the school, supporting student attendance, wellbeing, and safeguarding processes. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring that all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

This is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, running until May 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and track student attendance daily, ensuring accurate records are maintained

Follow up on absences, including first-day calling procedures

Work closely with pastoral staff to identify and support students with attendance concerns

Liaise with parents/carers regarding attendance, punctuality, and welfare matters

Maintain confidential student records in line with safeguarding and data protection policies

Support the wider safeguarding and welfare systems within the school

Produce attendance reports and data analysis as required

Assist with administrative duties related to student welfare and pastoral care Conducting home visits
