About the role

About You:

Caister Academy are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to work closely with an individual KS3 student who has an Education, Health and Care Plan. You will bring patience, consistency and a strong understanding of how to support young people with neurodiverse profiles or attachment/developmental trauma, helping them to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

You will be someone who can build a trusting relationship, adapt learning tasks with sensitivity, and promote independence while offering calm, structured support. Strong communication skills, reliability and a commitment to inclusion are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with the SENDCo and class teachers. If you are motivated by making a meaningful difference to one student’s daily experience and long‑term progress, we would welcome your application.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent Proven experience working in an educational environment Ability to use initiative and apply sound decision-making High expectations of self and others
