This position is particularly appropriate for candidates with a specialism in Textiles, and experience of successfully teaching GCSE Design and Technology Textiles would be advantageous. We are looking for a colleague with strong subject knowledge, a genuine passion for Technology, and a drive to inspire young people. The ideal candidate will be innovative in their approach to teaching and curriculum development, committed to raising achievement, and dedicated to promoting high expectations for all students. You will be a strong communicator, a positive team‑player, and someone who contributes actively to both departmental and whole‑school culture. You will be joining a highly supportive and collaborative Art and Technology Faculty. Our Art and Technology Faculty are adaptable, and teach across a multiple disciplines (Textiles, Food, Product and Art) in Key Stage 3. You will benefit from a rich and varied programme of professional development, which will be personalised to your career stage. CPD opportunities include dedicated ECT support (as required), in‑school training, external Middle Leadership pathways, online learning platforms, Trust‑wide development through the Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust, and access to the Leeds for Learning partnership.
