Personal Care Assistant

About the Role Milton School is seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support pupils with personal care needs during the school day. This is a rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference to a child’s comfort, dignity, and ability to access education. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care support to pupils, including toileting, changing, and hygiene, in line with individual care plans Support pupils’ physical wellbeing while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to ensure pupils’ needs are met Follow school policies on safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control Keep accurate records where required and communicate effectively with staff and parents/carers About You A kind, patient, and compassionate approach Ability to work discreetly and professionally with children Willingness to undertake training in personal care, manual handling, and safeguarding Experience working with children or in a care setting is desirable but not essential Strong teamwork and communication skills This is an exciting post!
