We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our large and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of our students by working closely with classroom teachers to support educational opportunities across the school. The successful candidate will: Demonstrate strong communication skills to support students’ independent learning. Offer encouragement and clear explanations to help young people reach their potential. Support small group interventions: Literacy: Implementing phonics catch-up, reading fluency, and structured writing frameworks. Numeracy: De-mystifying maths by building "number sense" and foundational problem-solving skills. Social & Emotional Skills: Facilitating sessions that promote confidence, social communication, and resilience. The role could include providing personal care for the student. Please indicate in your application if this is something you would be happy to do. Full training would be provided. Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time only (5.5 hours per day 8.30 am - 3 pm, includes 2 x 30-minute breaks per day). Either 4 or 5 days per week would be considered. Salary: Scale 2c, Point 3 - £16,755 actual salary based on 5 days per week (full-time equivalent £26,655). The salary will be pro rata for fewer working days.
