Therapist
Oaklands is an
outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides
specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound
and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19. We have a Primary school (New
Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites
with both our school buildings offering state-of-the-art facilities for our
students.
We
are looking to appoint a qualified band 5 or band 6 Occupational Therapist to
join a growing therapy team at Oaklands in working directly
with young people to support them accessing education.
The
ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience working with young adults who
have very complex needs including PMLD, SLD and autism. You will be able to design and deliver sensory integration programmes. You will
liaise with service providers and parents to ensure that therapy is delivered as
required at school and home.
Oaklands School Therapy Team
is led by our Therapy Team Lead. The successful candidate will join the therapy
team at Oaklands and work across both our 2 sites. This is an exciting
opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills and embed yourself in the
school community to support our children and young people in achieving the best
functional outcomes.
