Federation of Cherry Oak School, Victoria School and Victoria College Teacher ( Maternity Cover - Fixed Term from 01/09/2026 - 31/08/2027 ) Based at Victoria School, Bell Hill, Northfield, Birmingham, B311LD Victoria School Victoria School is an all age 2-19 special school based in Northfield; supporting pupils with cognition and learning needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), physical disabilities and complex medical health and learning needs. We cater for 228 pupils and are extremely proud of our provision and whole school community. The Federation’s vision is ‘working together for success’ . Our aim is to increase every individual pupil’s knowledge and understanding of the world so that their full potential may be achieved.’ The Board of Governors is seeking to appoint three Permanent Teacher’s to be responsible for leading the teaching, learning and assessment for a group of students. We are rightly proud of our Federation. I would recommend it for anyone with special needs.” “We help each other to get a better education through lots of different activities.” The successful candidate will: Plan, prepare and teach, according to their educational needs, the pupils assigned to them including the setting and marking of work carried out by those pupils; the number of lessons should not normally exceed that limit which has been agreed in the school. Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment achieved by those pupils assigned to them. Communicate and consult, in accordance with LA guidelines and circulars, with the parents of the pupils they are assigned to teach. Participate in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above. Participate in arrangements for further training and professional development as appropriate, including undertaking training and professional development which aim to meet needs identified in appraisal objectives or in appraisal statements. Take all reasonable steps to maintain good order and discipline among pupils and safeguarding their health and safety both when they are authorised to be on the school premises and when they are engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere. Attend whole school events and support the wider opportunities for our students, whether these duties are to be performed before, during or after school sessions. Work effectively as part of a large team to meet the needs of individuals and to support collegiate working, not only in the school but across the Federation. Our school offers: A
