Pathfinder CofE Primary School Part of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT) is seeking to appoint a Full-Time SEN Class Teacher Fixed Term for One Year Payscale: Mainscale 100% per week Commencing: September 2026 Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Do you have experience of working with children with SEND? Are you ready to join a supportive and nurturing community that works together to achieve the very best outcomes for its pupils in a fully inclusive environment? An exciting and innovative opportunity has arisen at The Pathfinder C of E Primary School to lead the provision for a small group of Key Stage 1 pupils with a range of complex needs. The children will access the provision for parts of the day and with a view to reintegrating some back into the mainstream classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion. You will be responsible for teaching all allocated areas of the curriculum and required to plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group. What we're looking for: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs Confident leadership abilities, including team coordination and supporting support staff Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to promote positive behaviour and create a supportive classroom atmosphere Competent with ICT systems (e.g., Google Suite, email, and school databases) Other responsibilities include: Motivating pupils through enthusiastic, imaginative presentation Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and other professionals to ensure a high standard of education Monitoring and assessing pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents and colleagues Using a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote pupils' engagement and learning Creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment for all pupils Maintaining discipline within the classroom in line with our Behaviour Policy Desirable: Additional training or qualifications related to SEN/Autism Experience with EHCPs, intervention planning, or contributing to school improve The purpose of this role is to work alongside colleagues in planning, preparing and supporting the teaching and learning of all pupils in your care.
