With a clear understanding of how children learn, you will use assessment effectively to inform your teaching, adapt your approach and ensure that every child, regardless of background or ability can succeed. Creating a positive, respectful and purposeful classroom environment will be central to your practice, alongside building strong relationships rooted in trust and high expectations. Beyond the classroom, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, engaging in professional development and sharing effective strategies with others. At every stage, you will play a key role in promoting the school’s ethos, safeguarding pupils and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive and high-performing school community. What will you do? Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress. Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behavior, and promote student well-being. Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons. Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies. Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
What are we looking for?
