Role: PE Teacher Salary: M1-M6 (£34398 - £46839) + SEN Allowance £2787 Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (1st September 2026 - 31st August 2027) Hours: Full Time Start Date: 1st September 2026 Alfriston School is a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school catering to pupils aged 11-18 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and a range of additional needs including speech and language difficulties. We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher with experience or a keen interest in working with students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible physical education lessons that promote physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver inclusive PE lessons tailored to girls with MLD. Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities and additional needs. Promote physical health, teamwork, and emotional well-being. Monitor student progress and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews. Ensure safety and safeguarding standards are consistently upheld. The Ideal Candidates Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching PE (mainstream or SEN) Experience working with students with MLD or similar needs Passion for inclusive education and adaptive sports
