The Governing Body of Brierley CE (VC) Primary School warmly

enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our

brand-new nursery provision,

opening in September 2026.

This is a rare and

exciting opportunity for a committed and nurturing practitioner to play a key

role in supporting the development of a new nursery from the very beginning, as

About the Role

We

are seeking a passionate Early Years practitioner who will:

Support the delivery of the Early

Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum Help create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive

environment where young children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities, both

indoors and outdoors Provide emotional

support and care, helping children to develop confidence, independence

and positive relationships Work closely with the class teacher to support

high-quality teaching and learning Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the

nursery provision Build strong, positive relationships with children,

parents, carers and colleagues

About You

The successful candidate will:

Be an enthusiastic, caring and reflective Early Years practitioner Have a good understanding of child

development and how young children learn Be well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team Be proactive, motivated and committed to high-quality Early Years

practice Be able to nurture and support children through a child-centred approach Be fully committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every child Support and uphold the school’s Christian ethos
