About the role

We have a Teaching Assistant vacancy - Term Time Only. Are you looking for a new career that allows you to play a part in supporting students with additional needs? We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support our students with a range of additional needs. Pebble Brook provides you the opportunity to work with specialist teachers who will mentor you to support the needs of our students with their education in preparation for adulthood. Please see the job description attached for more information. Experience of working with children will be required. Good communication skills with adults, children and young adults are desired, as are good literacy and numeracy skills, good written and spoken English and a good working knowledge of ICT to be able to use ICT effectively to support learning. Pebble Brook School is a secondary Special School for approximately 182 pupils aged 11-19 with a range of moderate learning difficulties. We are based on an attractive site in the centre of Aylesbury and maintained by Buckinghamshire Local Authority. Our pupils come from all over the county, some have attended primary special schools whilst others have previously been in mainstream schools across the county.
