PHSE Teacher (with Second Specialism in Humanities) Full Time MPR/UPR Permanent contract Required from September 2026 The Role We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic PHSE Teacher with a second specialism in Humanities to join our welcoming and forward‑thinking school. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring practitioner who is passionate about student wellbeing, personal development, and high‑quality teaching within the Humanities curriculum. The successful candidate will lead and deliver engaging PHSE lessons while also contributing to curriculum delivery in one or more Humanities subjects (e.g. History/RE). Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality PHSE lessons that support students’ personal, social, health, and economic education Contribute to the teaching of Humanities within your second specialism Support students’ social, emotional, and moral development Plan and assess lessons in line with national curriculum and school policies Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance cross‑curricular provision Participate in pastoral initiatives and the wider life of the school The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold QTS (or be working towards it) Be able to teach PHSE confidently across relevant key stages Have a second subject specialism in Humanities Demonstrate strong classroom management and inclusive teaching practice Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Show enthusiasm, adaptability, and a reflective approach to teaching Our Ethos - Compassionate Excellence At the heart of The Romsey School is our mission for a lived experience of ‘Compassionate Excellence’.
