The Job: Pleckgate High School seek to appoint a Design Technology Teacher to join the school from September 2026. We would welcome full time and part time applications. What does this job do? To deliver engaging design and technology lessons across both key stages within hospitality and catering or product design. Plan and teach a broad design and technology curriculum to help pupils to develop practical knowledge and skills. To lead practical sessions for pupils in well resourced workspaces allowing pupils to design and make products. To work with the department in offering a range of extra curricular activities for pupils involving design and technology. What are the job requirements? Qualified to degree level in a Technology based subject or adequate post degree conversion course. Qualified teacher status. Ability to deliver high-quality lessons in Technology to pupils of all ages and abilities. Experience of teaching Technology throughout the Key Stages and securing good outcomes. Knowledge of requirements of the Technology Curriculum and developments and initiatives relating to the subject and its implications for pupils.
