We are a happy, inclusive school and everyone is made to feel welcome.   We are looking for a SENCO to join our committed, friendly and supportive team for two days a week. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that every child receives the support they need to achieve their full potential. They will take responsibility for the strategic and operational provision for pupils with SEND.   This is very exciting opportunity to join Ghost Hill. We are part of Sapientia Education Trust, an expanding multi-academy Trust with 13 Primary and 9 Secondary schools. A Trust where like minded schools work together.   You will :  Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.  Identify and assess pupils with additional needs and coordinate appropriate interventions.  Work closely with class teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive, high-quality teaching.  Liaise with external agencies, including educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and the local authority.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND records, including EHCPs and provision maps.  Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND provision across the school.  Be a qualified teacher and be working towards or hold the  National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or NPQ for SENDCos .  Have a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.  Be a passionate, reflective practitioner with excellent communication and leadership skills.  Be able to meet deadlines and manage self and workload.   Be committed to our Character Education curriculum and be an excellent role model for good character.   Our school can offer :  Happy children who enjoy school.  A dedicated, friendly, kind and supportive staff team.  Opportunities for working collaboratively with other schools in the Trust  An ethos with Character Education at the centre.  A range of CPD opportunities.  Visits to our school are warmly encouraged.
