Pastoral Administrator/Deputy Head of Year (Sixth Form) Required: September 2026 Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.00, Friday 08.00 - 15.30 Scale 6 point 14 (Range 14-18) - Actual salary £25,949.83 37 hours per week - 39 weeks per year (term-time plus one week) We are seeking an organised and proactive individual with strong administrative experience to support the Head of Sixth Form. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date correspondence and administrative records in line with Sixth Form requirements. They will play a key role in providing an efficient, responsive, and high-quality clerical and pastoral support service across both year groups. Excellent IT skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, staff, and parents. Experience of working within a school environment is desirable but not essential. Information about the School St Martin's School is a large co-educational comprehensive school located in Hutton, Brentwood. The school benefits from a pleasant semi-rural environment with agricultural land to the rear. The school, which also includes a large sixth form block, is situated on an open, attractive 30 acre site. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. Hutton is five miles from the M25 and 19 miles from London, which is easily reached by road or train (25 minutes to Liverpool Street Station). This is a large, but friendly school in which all staff are helped to develop their talents. This is supported by an extensive and wide ranging in-house continual professional development programme (CPD).
