Actual Annual Salary : £26,330 - £40,838 - (M1 – UPS3) + TLR 1B £12,521

Full Time Annual Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (M1 – UPS3) + TLR 1B £12,521

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31 May 2027 or on the return of the current postholder (Maternity cover) Hours: Part-Time, 26 hours per week.  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Start Date:  September 2026

As the Curriculum leader of Maths, you will lead our department across Key Stages 3-5, overseeing the curriculum, teaching, and assessment strategies to ensure high standards of student achievement. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a fabulous team of dedicated teachers. About you:

You will have:

Experience of leadership within Maths secondary education that has led to improved outcomes for all, especially students who experience disadvantage.

A strong understanding of how to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum through effective pedagogy and practice and leadership of others.

An excellent knowledge and understanding of the curriculum across key stages.

An excellent standard of oral and written communication skills and ability to understand and convey information effectively, precisely and timely.

Great organisational and efficient administration skills.

the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with teachers and other academy staff.

About the Academy:

Winterstoke Hundred Academy is named after the historic parish of Weston-Super-Mare and launched as a new 11-19 Academy in September 2020, admitting pupils for the first time in that year into Year 7 and Year 12.
