It is an exciting time for Homefield, as we prepare to move into our brand new school building. At the end of the academic year 2026/2027 we will be moving to a purpose built new school, expanding over time to have up to 420 pupils. This position is initially a fixed term contract for 2 academic years due to the transition into the new school building/area, but is likely to be extended as the school’s capcity grows. We require a Level 3 or above Early Years Lead Practitioner to lead our Nursery in partnership with our Early Years Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career to be part of a supportive team that values high-quality practice, inclusion and professional development. We are looking for somebody with good communication skills, a welcoming and friendly approach that demonstrates a high level of professionalism, while being able to relate well to both children and adults. As a Lead Practitioner, you’ll be a positive role model for excellent Early Years practice, helping to create a nurturing, stimulating, well-organised and safe environment where our youngest children can thrive. Working closely with our Early Years Leader, you’ll play an important role in supporting the operational flow of the nursery whilst maintaining the highest standards of wellbeing, care, teaching and learning. We are looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner with a level 3 or above qualification in Early Years, good standards of literacy, numeracy (C or equivalent at GCSE) and computing skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
