Furze Down is an outstanding special school based across two sites in Winslow and Buckingham. We provide education for 220 pupils aged 4-19 with communication and interaction differences. Provide learning support within the classroom and, where appropriate, in alternative learning environments. Support pupils individually and in small groups to access the curriculum, engage in learning and experience success. Build positive, trusting relationships that promote pupils’ wellbeing, independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion. Promote inclusive practice and contribute to a calm, safe and supportive learning environment across the school. Support the development of pupils’ communication, social and emotional skills. Support pupils with personal care needs where required, in line with training and school procedures. Contribute to planning, record‑keeping and the delivery of structured interventions to support pupil progress.
