About the Role
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is a world-leading children's charity. Every day, over 600 seriously ill children arrive for life-changing treatments. We depend on charitable support to fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, and vital services. Our ambitious fundraising strategy includes building a new Children's Cancer Centre opening in 2026.
We're looking for a confident, insight-driven Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead our paid digital marketing team. You'll own multi-channel campaigns (paid search, display, paid social, video), set ambitious KPIs, and translate data into actionable recommendations that drive fundraising results. You'll work collaboratively across the Marketing and Communications directorate and with external agencies to deliver coherent, high-performing campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coach a team of 4 to deliver high-quality, insight-driven digital marketing campaigns across paid channels
- Plan and optimise multi-channel campaigns (paid search, display, paid social, video) using a full-funnel approach with appropriate metrics at each stage
- Set, measure and report against digital KPIs; use data to recommend strategy and budget allocation
- Manage the digital marketing budget: monthly phasing, distribution, variance analysis, and joint business planning with stakeholders
- Build and manage relationships with media agencies and external suppliers; oversee their performance
- Champion audience segmentation, targeting and a coherent digital supporter experience
- Test and pilot new fundraising propositions using a structured test-and-learn approach
- Spot trends and lead best practice across digital channels; stay responsive to the changing digital landscape
- Embed inclusive thinking into campaign planning and creative development
- Deputise for Head of Digital Marketing as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns (paid social, paid search, video, display)
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Ads (including Performance Max and Google Display Network)
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimising paid social campaigns (particularly Meta), with appetite to test emerging channels
- Proven track record of leading and coaching teams to develop consistent, high-quality marketing plans
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; solutions-oriented and adaptable
- Coaching approach to team management with proven experience developing individuals and teams
Desirable:
- Experience in a charity or not-for-profit organisation
- Working knowledge of Google Grants
- Familiarity with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) principles
- Working knowledge of Salesforce
- Agile trained with Scrum experience (training will be provided)
