Salary: MPS - UPS - £32,916 - £51,048 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked) Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year. Sampford Peverell C of E Primary School are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team in September 2026. About the Role As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards. Your key responsibilities will include: Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos What We’re Looking For We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning. Essential attributes include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS and KS1. Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community Desirable attributes include: Experience leading a curriculum area Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities Why Join Us?
