About the role

The Caretaker will work within the ACET Site Team, to provide of an effective caretaking service for the academy; and to carry out any reasonable instructions in line with the level of responsibility for the post. The ACET estates are maintained at a high standard, and we continually strive to improve them. The caretaker will contribute to ensuring contracts for maintenance are effectively managed and access to the site by contractors is controlled. They will liaise with outside agencies and contractors and ensure the security of all ACET sites is maximised. As part of the site team, caretakers are responsible for ensuring long term plans are maintained for maintenance and the operational requirements of the academies are met. There is an expectation that whilst the post is initially based at Swinton Academy, the post-holder will be required to work at other academies within the trust when needed, to ensure the most efficient and effective service for all the academies within the trust.
